Great Toy Drive Brings Smiles for the Holidays

Over the past several weeks, USAgencies Credit Union has been collecting toys for the KGW Great Toy Drive, a fundraiser that benefits local children in need. As we’ve done in years past, USACU once again matched all donations made – toy for toy. Staff and members gave generously, and each week we watched the piles of toys grow larger and larger!

On December 14th, staff gathered in the lobby to collect the toys, and drop them at the KGW Studios. Because of to the generosity we saw this holiday season, the credit union was able to deliver over 200 toys this year! There was a major increase in donations from the previous year, making it a success for all involved.

USAgencies Credit Union would like to thank those who took the time to purchase and drop off toys. Your donations helped bring more smiles to more local children in need. We couldn’t have done it without all of you!

An Amazing View

A story from our member, Henry

Back in October 2013, Henry and his wife moved into their home with a view…. an amazing view.

And just recently Henry reached out to us to say “thank you again” to Steven Raymond, our VP of Residential Lending for “all of [his] calm, assertive professionalism.” Steven “really made the financial portion of the home buying process go smoothly,” said Henry, explaining that it was the best part of the experience.

“We’re happy in our new home {with} the amazing view I have the privilege of seeing everyday.”

We’re happy you’re happy, Henry. It’s our pleasure to assist in any way we can.

“Loyal to this outfit”

A story from our member, Phil

It’s always a happy day at USAgencies when we get feedback like this. We just had to share this story from Phil, a member who is “loyal to this outfit”…

Way back when Phil opened his membership he allocated some of his VA funds here into a checking account….. and then ignored it, for years. After a handsome sum ($10K+) accumulated, a USACU employee reached out to him to offer some other solutions for earning a better rate. We offered a CD and set it all up for him.

This above and beyond effort, although a simple action that we do all the time for our members, really stuck with Phil. He called in just this week to tell us that he appreciates all we do for him.

“You guys manage the money; I just manage things so they don’t bounce,” he said.

Phil explained that we should be proud of the staff working here. “They’ve been kind and patient with me over the years. It’s with their voice and actions that they make me loyal to this outfit,” and he’s grateful.

Phil, you probably won’t ever read this, as you proclaim to be “off the grid,” but we sure appreciate YOU, your kind words, and your loyalty to this outfit at USAgencies. We’re proud to call you our member, sir.
